As part of our 60th anniversary celebrations we recorded some of our best loved unaccompanied pieces along with some of the readings of verse and prose which have formed the programme for our recitals on tour. The tour repertoire has evolved and changed over the years, and variations on this programme have been performed in such places as Lincoln, Hereford, Dornoch and Dunkeld cathedrals, as well as churches in Perth, Kingussie, Crawcrook, Olney, Elham, Fotheringhay, Aberystwyth, and Abergavenny.
The recording took place in St James Church, Stonehaven where the resonant acoustics made it worth braving the bitter cold in the early months of 2007. Many thanks are due to Chris Overton for his patience and attention to detail in making the recordings and producing the CD.
