DESCRIPTION:Brahms: Ein Deutsches Requiem – A Choral Masterpiece of Comfort and Hope \n\n\n\nStonehaven Chorus warmly invites you to a special evening of profound and uplifting music with a performance of Johannes Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem\, conducted by our new Musical Director\, Lizzy Unsworth Wilson. \n\n\n\nAmong the most powerful and deeply human works in the choral repertoire\, Brahms’ Requiem is unlike the traditional Latin setting of the Mass for the Dead. Drawing instead on German texts from the Lutheran Bible\, it offers comfort and consolation for the living\, speaking of hope\, peace\, and renewal.
